This a short list of the movies released this year (2008). I have chosen a few of the motion pictures that I think you might like. Hopefully you will see a picture or two that you will enjoy.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Searching for his brother, professor Trevor Anderson explores caves in Iceland, and that leads him to the center of the earth. This a new version of the 1959 production, that was formed from the brilliant book by celebrated writer Jules Verne. Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers star in this adventure film.
WALL-E: This picture is an animated, comedy, adventure, sci-fi. Earth has been left behind, an uninhabitable wasteland. Wall-E, a robot built to remove trash, has been left behind to clean up the mess. Years later, when a robot named Eve shows up searching for any signs of life, Wall-E is finally not alone. Eventually, when Eve is recovered by the craft that sent her, Wall-E somehow get on the ship, and starts an incredible adventure.
HAMLET 2: Unsuccessful actor Dana Marshz has moved on to teaching the high school after classes to students who just don't care. When they lose a building at the campus, the school administration feels that the after curriculum will get the axe. Wanting to fight, he sets out to keep the school from dropping his classes by producing Hamlet 2, a new version of the classic, which he creates.
WANTED: A young, bored, office worker named Wesley discovers that his father, who he never really knew, is a contract killer. His father has been murdered, now Wesley is asked to join into the organization that his father was a part of. He is transformed from a nobody office worker into the killing expert that he was meant to be. From that point on, this movie gets complicated, and many twist and turns follow. Enjoy this roller coaster ride.
ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO: The bills are piling up and Zack and Miri, roomies who have been friends since grade school, need to make some money. The answer? Easy, start making pornos. Obviously this a perfect environment for lots of laughs.
Jumper: During a near death experience, David Rice discovers an amazing thing. He now knows he can transport himself to anywhere he desires to be, anytime he wants. Later, he becomes aware that there are others with this ability. After years of "jumping" around the planet, he is exposed to hunters that are trying to rid the world of jumpers. He now must battle for his life, as these paladins believe he should die.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This feature film tells a story about Dr. Bruce Banner, who, due to a military accident, has become the Incredible Hulk. This box office hit tells of the marvel universe comic super hero the green Hulk. Key actors include Edward Norton, Liz Tyler, Tim Roth. This film is directed by Louis Leterrier. The film style is sci-fi/action thriller.
PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Heavy pot smoker Dale Denton, in a stroke of bad luck, has seen a bad cop, and the local drug king pin, murder someone. The killers know he has seen what's gone down. Knowing they've seen him, he drops his joint of pineapple express, and takes off. This joint is such a unique type of weed, that it is possible to find out who has it. The "fun" is on, as Dale and his dealer Saul are desperately hiding from the bad guys.
ROLE MODELS: Danny and Wheeler, who sell energy drinks, might be seeing some hard jail time after trashing the company truck. The way they can avoid being locked up is by doing community service. Their task will be to become mentors in a community service program. Let the fun begin.
Many people will buy these movies, so they can see them in the comfort of their living rooms. A more recent method for getting films is by using down loading technologies from the internet. There are websites that with a membership, you can download virtually any movie ever made.
